Automatic Quote Creation with Empower: Channel Self-Service

As part of this month’s channel self-service release, Extreme implemented logic that enables automatic quote creation once a Deal Registration is approved. This increase in automation will eliminate the issue of having to input duplicate information from the Deal Registration.

• If there are errors encountered in quote creation, users will receive a notification of the errors and why the quote is in draft status.
• If a quote is in draft status, users will need to go into CSS and modify/edit the already existing quote.

With this new capability, Extreme anticipates that more users will submit a Deal Registration request and receive an automated quote with the approved Deal Registration. Visit PartnerEngage for more information about Channel Self-Service.

Extreme Networks Update on Prioritization of Shipments

Given the global supply chain challenges we are all experiencing, we’d like to provide the latest Extreme Networks guidance on the prioritization of shipments. We are working with our distributors to establish more efficient processes, and we encourage our distributors and resellers to accept partial shipments. Services will not be impacted negatively; services will begin after the last shipment of an order with the option to request to extend the start date by 90 days after shipment is complete. Please work with your customers and distributor to allow partial shipment on your orders.

Keep Your Customers Informed About Supply Chain Constraints

If your customers would like an update on where we and our industry stand with regards to our supply chain challenges, please reach out to your PAM for a customized letter from Extreme Networks.

Training Updates

• Extreme Sales Specialist (ESS) — As part of the curriculum development plans, we are reviewing the Extreme Sales Specialist (ESS) program. We have automatically renewed your existing ESS certification (for 6 months) from the month that the recertification is due. This 6-month extension is viewable on your Dojo profile page. We expect to announce the replacement of the ESS program early in 2022 when normal recertification will recommence.
• Extreme Design Specialist (EDS) — The Extreme Design Specialist (EDS) training content is currently under review. As a result, all expiring EDS certifications will automatically be extended by another year prior to their anniversary date.
• Extreme Campus Controller Deploy and Manage ECS Certification Training Course — Extreme Training is pleased to announce the release of the Extreme Campus Controller Deploy and Manage ECS Certification Training Course. Dates will be published by our Authorized Training Partners shortly. Keep checking for dates and release of new courses.
• Follow the Extreme Networks Training Page on LinkedIn — We’ve created a LinkedIn page designed specifically to help you stay up to date in this ever-evolving industry. On the new Extreme Networks Training page, we’ll be sharing the latest information on ALL Extreme Networks Training programs such as the Welcome Series, Extreme Academy, Extreme Certified Specialists, and so much more. If you haven’t already, follow the page to get notified when new educational content is posted.
