Exams are timed. Breaks are discouraged; the timer will NOT stop while I am away from my workstation.
I must take my identification with me when leaving the testing room. My identification will be checked when I sign in and out on the log sheet and when I return from a break.
Personal items, such as purses, briefcases, cellular phones, and pagers are not allowed in the testing room.
Scratch paper or erasable board, pencil, and exam-specific materials are provided by the testing center. Initialing the log sheet indicates that I have received these materials. I will not write on the scratch paper or erasable board until after the exam has been started.
I agree to sit in the assigned seat. I also agree not to eat, drink, smoke, talk, make noise, or create a disturbance during the exam.
The administrator will log me on to a workstation, verify that I am taking the correct exam, and start the exam. After that, the administrator can help me as long as other candidates are not disturbed, but cannot answer exam-specific questions.
I understand that I will be monitored at all times.
If I experience hardware or software problems, I will notify the test administrator immediately.
When I finish the exam, my score will be displayed immediately on the screen and a score report will be printed automatically. I will receive the printed report from the administrator after I return all materials issued to me at the start of the exam, including all sheets of scratch paper or the erasable board. If the score report does not print, I will ask the administrator to print it.
I will sign out on the log sheet when I am finished.
If I have questions about the validity of the exam, I must contact the certifying organization.
My exam data is automatically encrypted and transferred electronically to VUE; from there it is forwarded to the certifying organization. The center at which I am taking the exam does not have access to any of my exam data, except for information about when and where I took the exam.
If I do not follow the above rules, or I am suspected of cheating, appropriate action will be taken. This may include invalidation of my exam results and decertification by the testing organization.
